FOREST AND LACE
This coyote was very vocal in the beginning stages of the carve- the tree was completely freehand, and I felt as if the coyote took the Dremel out of my hand to create it! From there the ferns were inarguable but less demanding, and then the coyote and I struggled to work together to finish the design. Finally we discovered the ethereal combination of a lacy sigil and the phases of the moon on its heavily crested forehead. The carve holds a heavy feminine power, and the purple stain further brings out the details and emphasizes the forest and lace upon this beautiful coyote’s remains.
